David J. Pagliarini, PhD

David J. Pagliarini, PhD, is a nationally recognized leader in mitochondrial biology and a BJC Investigator at the School of Medicine. Dr. Pagliarini’s lab studies the composition and function of the mitochondrial proteome and its relationship to human disease. In particular, his group blends large-scale genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics analyses with mechanistic biochemistry and cell biology to define the functions of proteins and pathways related to mitochondria, identify causative variants in unresolved rare metabolic diseases, and explore new therapeutic approaches for mitochondrial disorders.
